Distributor Sales Manager

 

POSITION OVERVIEW
    • Oversee full cycle of Distributor selling process (Order, Buy, Collection)
    • Build and manage distributor category sales dashboard and quarterly and annual performance reports per country
    • Develop annual distributor report card for regional assessment
    • Review and process all new distributor region applicants
    • Target new regions and new partnerships
    • Understand full product assortment
    • Finalize, disperse and centralize all distributor agreements/contracts
    • Push at-once and closeout opportunities with the Distributor channel
    • Assist in setting overall Distributor pricing for multiple warehouse locations
    • Build Distributor Order forms for multiple warehouse locations
    • Manage and Improve Distributor buy schedule with Procurement
    • Develop and oversee warranty process

 

Manage all distributor related functions and advise Distributor Sales Support person as below:

 

    • Place and maintain all sales orders to meet company and customer targets
    • Recommend resolution on customer service and sales operational issues surrounding key customers
    • Work closely with procurement to ensure that all international country and vendor compliance requirements are met
    • Coordinate with customers to negotiate quantities to meet vendor minimum order quantities worldwide
    • Recommend and work with Sales and Operations Management staff to set policies and procedures for accounts
    • Coordinate payment per the agreed upon customer payment terms
    • Oversee/manage any data or order-cleansing projects for customers
    • Responsible for creation of commercial/pro forma invoices as required
    • Support any internal or external sales reps that manage accounts
    • Represent the department in all company-wide projects that pertain to Dakine US international customer service and sales operations
    • Ensure that all EDI requirements are met for any applicable customers
    • Liaison with the warehouse for export shipments from the US to ensure all pick ticket processing and shipping is smooth and meets customer and Dakine requirements
    • Work closely with procurement to ensure the smooth transition of container direct orders from vendor to customer
REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong customer service orientation and focus with two years of customer service or operations experience -preferably in the action sports industry
  • Customer service or sales operations lead/management experience
  • Experience with Dynamics AX a plus
  • Strong MS Excel skills a must
  • Strong problem solving, communication (written and verbal) and organizational skills
  • Supply chain/logistics experience in an industry that procures from Asia
  • Experience with international shipping and logistics for both drop ship orders and exporting from the US
  • Must work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong understanding of working within vendor compliance regulations and familiarity with vendor compliance documents a plus
  • Experience with EDI a plus
  • Valid US work permit

  • City of Portland is a 1-hour drive (staff regularly visit Portland after work and weekends)
  • Oregon Coast is 2.5 hours drive for surfing, wave sailing, etc.
  • Year round population in town: 7,000. County of Hood River has 22,000 people. Plus large tourism population growth in peak winter and summer months
  • Most of the people in Hood River love to be outside and are passionate about their sports, are very friendly, and care about the environment
