When less is more, our field bag is just what you need. Internal organization separates cables, phone and supplies for quick access. A light crossbody strap keeps the bag within easy reach, and it converts into a hip pack if needed, too.

If your Dakine bag gets dirty, we recommend hand washing with mild soap (like Nikwax Tech Wash), cold water and a soft bristle brush. If hand washing is not going to do the trick, use a front loader washing machine. To ensure your backpack doesn't get tangled, place inside a pillowcase or mesh bag before washing. Always use cold water, mild soap and run on a gentle cycle. Never bleach your pack. Hang to dry in a warm but shady place, ensuring both inside and out are dry before storing.

Good bag but slightly misleading

This bag is good for carrying little things like keys, medications, vape etc., but there's no way the front pocket is going to fit a phone in 2022. Maybe if you have an older phone from the early to mid 2010's it might fit but my LG Velvet is bigger than the whole front pocket and it's a standard sized phone.

Awesome Bag

It’s perfect. A little bigger than I was expecting it to be, which isn’t a bad thing. Not only does it hold everything I usually keep in my pocket, but I can also throw a 16oz water bottle in the large compartment. As a person who always carries water, it’s nice to be able to let my hands free. The quality is top notch just as all my other Dakine bags are

I got tired of my cell phone beside my junk in my pockets along with all the other items that end up in my pant pockets so I got this - this murse is perfect!! the large pocket holds my wallet with space for some hand sanitizer and a small point and shoot camera. The middle compartment holds a cell phone with an elastic to hold it in along with a loop for a charging cable or other items (pens etc.) the size of the small outer pocket is great for keys or things like that (lipbalm, eye drops etc.)

Good quality!

This bag is good for carrying the essentials plus room for a little more. The 3 compartments are great for organization and the bag itself seems well made like all Dakine products. It does seem a little pricey but considering the quality, I hope to get a lot of use out of it.

How do you actually convert it to the hip pack? The strap is too long when I tightened it to smallest size... so I must be missing something obvious?

Hello! This bag does not convert to a hip pack. I apologize that the Instagram photo on the product page was misleading. That photo features our classic hip pack as well as the field bag. Feel free to return or exchange this item if that was your intended use.

How does this convert to a hip pack ? It states here in the description on your website that it converts to a hip pack ? Thank you

You remove the crossbody shoulder strap and basically convert it into a belt with one of the hooks and then you can clip the bag by it’s little webbing loop onto the second hook. I've sent a few photos from store@dakine.com to help illustrate. If you have further questions, please reply to that thread.
